Frequently Asked Questions
What training approach do you use?
You can expect a balanced training approach that pairs rewards with fair accountability. This helps your dog understand what you want, build confidence, and learn reliable behavior in real-world situations.
What behavior challenges can you help improve?
We can help with common issues like leash pulling, jumping, barking, and anxiety. We use a balanced approach to give your dog clear direction, build confidence, and support lasting improvement in everyday situations.
What happens during a private training lesson?
You’ll work one-on-one with us on the skills that matter most to you and your dog. We’ll focus on clear guidance, practical practice, and steady progress so you can build better manners, better communication, and more reliable behavior at home and in public.
How do you help me choose the right training program?
You’ll start with a consultation so you can share your dog’s needs, behavior challenges, and goals. From there, you’ll get a recommendation for the program that fits best.
What types of behavior issues can you help with?
We address a wide range of behavior issues, including leash pulling, jumping, barking, and anxiety. Our balanced training approach ensures effective and lasting results.
What should I expect when I book a private training lesson?
Private lessons are hands-on sessions where we work directly with you and your dog. We focus on your goals, show you clear steps to practice at home, and adjust the lesson to match your dog’s behavior, pace, and learning style.
How is your boarding care different from a traditional kennel?
Your dog stays in a more home-style setting with structured care, not just a run-and-wait kennel setup. We provide daily attention, clear routines, and a calmer environment that helps your dog feel comfortable while keeping expectations consistent.
What should I bring for boarding or board and train?
Please bring your dog’s regular food, any medications, and anything else that helps us keep their routine consistent. If you have vaccination records or special care instructions, those are helpful too. A familiar item from home can also help your dog settle in more comfortably.
What health and vaccination information do you need before boarding or board and train?
Please share your dog’s current vaccination records, any medications, and any health concerns before drop-off. If your dog has a medical condition, special feeding instructions, or has recently been sick, let us know ahead of time so we can make sure the stay is a good fit.
What does your board and train program cover?
Your dog’s stay includes structured training, daily care, and a focus on obedience, confidence, structure, and reliability. We work to create real progress in a setting that supports learning, then help you understand how to keep that progress going at home.
How long can your board and train program run?
You can choose either a 2-week or 3-week board and train program. The right fit depends on your dog’s needs, training goals, and how much support you want during the stay.
Will I get guidance on how to keep my dog’s training on track at home?
Yes. We want your dog’s progress to last in real life, not just during training. We’ll show you how to reinforce the skills your dog learned, and our Continued Success lesson is available if you want extra support after a program.
Do you offer puppy training, and what does it cover?
Yes. Our Confident Puppy Program is designed to help young dogs build good habits early. We focus on confidence, house manners, basic obedience, structure, and clear communication so your puppy can grow into a calm, well-behaved companion.
Is the Confident Puppy Program a good fit for young puppies?
Yes. The Confident Puppy Program is designed for young dogs who are ready to start building structure, manners, confidence, and basic obedience. If you’re unsure whether your puppy is ready to begin, reach out and we can help you decide based on age, needs, and goals.
What payment methods do you accept?
