Meet Brianna

Hi, I’m Brianna, the trainer behind Silva’s Dog House here in Missoula.
My journey into dog training started at a young age when I got my first dog — with absolutely no training plan and no idea what I was doing. What could have been overwhelming quickly became fascinating. I wanted to understand everything: how dogs think, how they learn, and how they communicate — not just with us, but with each other. That curiosity grew into a passion, and that passion became my career.
I am a Certified Dog Trainer (CDT) – Canine Behavior & Obedience, and I train using a balanced approach. I believe dogs thrive when communication is clear and consistent. Training should include both meaningful rewards and fair accountability — and it should also be fun. When learning is engaging and structured, dogs become more confident, more responsive, and more connected to their owners.
Structure builds confidence. Leadership builds reliability. But enjoyment builds relationships.
I specialize in working with high-drive breeds and family companions who need more than basic obedience. My goal is practical, real-world results — dogs that can focus, respond reliably, and live calmly within the family home and out in the community. Training shouldn’t feel like a chore; it should feel like progress you’re proud of.
But training isn’t just about teaching commands — it’s about empowering owners. I want you to feel confident handling your dog in any environment, long after our sessions are complete.
Outside of training, my life revolves around family. My husband and I have been married since 2008, and we have two daughters and two dogs. We love spending time together — especially outdoors. Whether it’s a trip up the mountains, hiking trails, playing in the rivers, or just going for a drive, we’re happiest when we’re exploring nature as a family.
Our daughters love getting involved in both training and playtime with the dogs, which helps make every session feel more like family life for the dogs we are working with. Their laughter, energy, and curiosity bring an extra layer of fun and engagement to training, turning lessons into shared experiences that dogs genuinely enjoy.
Our two dogs, Taz (mixed breed) and Nazboo (Rottweiler), are very much part of both our family and my training world.
Nazboo’s favorite things include food, a good adventure, napping, playing fetch or tug, and cuddle time with his family. He’s silly, sweet, loving, and incredibly good-natured.
Taz prefers the quieter side of life. His favorite things include napping, sunbathing, soft blankets, and wearing sweaters. He also loves to run — especially when he can turn it into a game of “catch me if you can.”They both remind me daily that while structure matters, joy matters too.
And having our daughters involved makes training a true family activity — one where learning and play go hand in hand.
At Silva’s Dog House, the mission is simple: build dogs that are clear-headed, reliable, and enjoyable to live with — and make the process rewarding, fun, and inclusive for the whole family.

Balanced Dog Training in Missoula for a Harmonious Life
We use a balanced approach to dog training in the Missoula and Frenchtown area, combining rewards and fair accountability. Dogs learn what earns rewards and what behaviors are unacceptable. This approach builds confidence, focus, and reliable obedience — while keeping training fun and engaging.
We combine consistent structure with positive reinforcement to bridge the gap between human expectation and canine instinct. By providing your dog with both clarity and motivation, our local dog trainer achieves lasting behavioral transformations that ensure your companion is well-adjusted, confident, and a joy to have in any environment.
